Autistic

What do Keanu Reeves, Bill Gates, Michael Jackson, Mozart and Alfred Hitchcock have in common?

Yes, they're all famous but they also have a condition called Autism.

.

.

.

Hey!

I had autism too!

So does that make me a heartthrob, a billionarire, a singer cum paedophile, a musician or a well-known director?

Varicella-Zoster Virus

What is caused by this Varicella-Zoster Virus?

Chicken pox! Something which I haven't gotten before, and I think it's gonna be real dangerous for me if I were to get it at an older age.

There seems to be a Chicken pox craze going on too. First Shajudeen, then Linda. Who's next?

I wonder if I'm going to be like my grandmother. Or auntie. Or uncle. They've never gotten chicken pox before!

And what makes it more amazing, is that they don't go for vaccine injections, as recommended by Linda, which costs about $117 for injections that last for about 2 years.

But of course, I certainly hope that I don't get it AT ALL.

After hearing so much from my friends, about how itchy the whole body will get, how ugly the spots are going to be, and how much precautions need to be taken just so that it does not spread to other people, or that it does not leave any scars on any part of the body.

ESPECIALLY THE FACE! I cannot imagine having so many pimples on my face! I'll probably stay at home for 1 year, and hire a beautician to do facial for me everyday!

By the way, if doing treatment on the face is called facial, then what about treatments for other parts of the body?

Handcial? Legcial? Buttcial?

I know! I think we can call them Plastic Surgery.

Bad Throat

Haha my supervisor is not around today! I think she has a sore left eye. That's what you get for spying on me!

Just joking.

Does anybody ever had this problem of having a bad nose and throat to the extent of spitting out phlegm or blood constantly? Even when I'm swallowing my saliva or just drinking water, I can taste the phlegm or the blood.

That's quite bad I think.

Well, on the good side, at least I'm not losing my precious rare A- blood, because I'm swallowing them back into my body. Haha.

But seriously, I think my throat and nose is injured somehow.

Anybody knows what's wrong?

I guess only a doctor can answer me.

Noisy Baby

Time to take a break since the supervisor who sits behind me is not at her desk at the moment, otherwise I'll become a working machine real soon.

I used to think that when I have a kid, I will not want him/her to make too much of a ruckus as that would be quite irritating and embarrassing at the same time.

But today's trip in the MRT changed my opinion completely.

Why?

.
.
.

There was a small little baby who can barely stand, and she was making ALOT of noise, to the extent that I can hear her cryings even though my music is on full blast.

And people give up their seats to the baby and her parent, so that the baby would stop crying!

OMG!

Next time in a packed train, I'll ask my kid to cry god damn loudly, and ask a kind auntie or uncle to give up the seat. And then after that, I'll sit down, and my kid will instead be either running around, or sitting on my lap.

Good idea eh? Hahaha.

I'm evil.

Punctuality

I must not be late for work anymore!

I've sort of received a "warning" regarding my punctuality, or rather, the lack of it. Indeed, I noticed that I really hasn't been on time AT ALL.

But blame the schedule of Bus 52!

I leave the house at 7.30, I'll reach the office at the same time if I leave at 8.00.

The stupid bus frequency is pathetic!

I must leave my house now! At 7.07!

Freak Injury

I twisted my right ankle.

While at home :|

I was sitting down on my floor for about 2 hours, cross legged. When I decided to go to the kitchen to have a drink, I stood up, and the next thing I know, I heard a crack sound, and twisted my right ankle.

It got quite serious, to the extent where I couldn't walk without a limp.

But it's getting better now.

At least I don't feel that much pain, and I don't walk with a limp. At least not that much.

What a freak injury.

I Am 90% Optimus Prime

You are 90% Optimus Prime!

Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime is the heroic leader of the Autobots. He is the personification of courage, strength, and integrity. His personal motto is that “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.”

Like Optimus Prime, you are compassionate and your heart is pure. You are inspiring, confident, and a natural leader. The Autobots have chosen well. In addition, you stick to the basics and don't need all the encumberances of modern technology.

I AM 90% OPTIMUS PRIME

Do Not ...

Do not go into a smelly Male's toilet when you have 2 x Mint flavoured Mentos in your mouth.

It only allows the stench of the toilet to better infiltrate your nostrils, and trigger your brain cells to register "Disgusting", and further pass down a "Vomit" signal to your throat.

So remember, do NOT go into a smell Male's toilet when you're eating Mentos. Mint flavoured.

And also, do not fall asleep while listening to MP3s in a bus/MRT ride.

Statistics have shown that you're at a much higher risk of missing your stop, as compared to sleeping without the influence of your iPods or whatever shit players.

That research has been researched and proven by Me.

It happened early this morning, in Bus 52, that rides from Jurong Interchange to Bishan Interchange.

When I opened my eyes, I saw myself 3 stops after my destination stop.

So please, heed my advice. Do not fall asleep while listening to MP3s in a bus/MRT ride.

To be safe, do not sleep. Go read Harry Porter Potter.

I'm so gonna sing this song in my next KTV session.

Secret + Idiot

Watched "Secrets" with Sheen, Luke and Dear yesterday. I must say that it's surprisingly a very nice show, considering it's written and directed by Jay Chou himself, who of course is also the lead actor.

How multi-talented can this guy get. Represent Taiwan in some sports soon? Who knows?

Warning: Do not read on further if you have not watched the movie. There is just this one incident that I find very weird, and will reveal the twist that I'm talking about.

At the last part, where he played that musical piece on that old piano right before the room was going to be torn down, he managed to go back to the time where Xiao Yu has not even travelled in time before, judging from Xiao Yu's reaction when she saw Jay Chou.

If she travelled in time before, then she'd have recognised Jay, and ran up to hug him or something. But instead, she looked as though she hasn't seen him before.

Until this stage, I thought that her time travelling is fixed at exactly 20 years. Like if she travelled at 1979 10th August 10pm, she'll end up at 1999 10th August 10pm.

Well, at least it seemed like this. It all seemed sequential.

If that's the case, then when Jay travelled through time back to 20 years ago, he should have arrived at the night of the graduation, where Xiao Yu has already passed away in the classroom after writing those words on the table with, of all things, liquid paper. Kinda reminds me of my vandalism days in secondary school.

But instead, he managed to go back even further. How did he do that?! He used some sort of remote control to control the date and time of where he wanted to go to?

If that's the case, then why not bring Xiao Yu back to 1999, where everything's more high tech, and that's where his father is anyway?

There's no internet at 1979!

Nevertheless, it's still a good movie.

Yes, there's another segment in my title. Idiot.

I was in the toilet at the Mediacorp reception 10 minutes ago, and was facing the mirror doing my hair and washing my hands. My back was facing the entrance, so when anyone enters the toilet, he'll see my back view immediately.

This idiot came in, almost walked past me, then suddenly turned around and wanted to walk out of the toilet while saying, "Oh shit. Wrong toilet". He said it so damn loudly.

He then double checked with the logo on the door, and just happened that another guy was coming into the toilet too. This idiot then finally believed that it's the male toilet.

Screw you.

Tired + Weird Dream

Currently stoning in front of my computer. I'm so tired!

My arm and fingers are now aching due to the 5 bowling games that I played yesterday. Total cost: $8.50. Super cheap :)

But end up, I couldn't use the chopsticks using my right hand. But luckily, I can use both hands to use the chopsticks and eat! Hahaha!

Yesterday night watched Manchester United VS Reading. It's amazing how Man Utd dominated the entire game, controlling in every aspect, except for the score. Remained 0-0 at the final whistle, even though Reading was playing with 10 men for the last 20 minutes.

Still have movie tonight. I'm going to keep it a secret as to what movie I am watch... Oops

I'll probably doze off in the movie. Zzzzzz.

Had a weird dream last night. I think this dream was inspired by Cindy's brother, who won a PS3 from playing the stacking game in the arcade.

I dreamt that I was playing such a game too, just that it's played in a different way.

In this game, I was holding a card that had my face on it. Up on me, are rows of cards, and I am supposed to throw the card I'm holding to the matching card in the row. Don't ask me how the cards match, because I don't know. All I know is that I threw the cards, and each time the card flew everywhere because of its light weight.

Somehow I managed to clear to the last row, and in this last row, it's extremely high, and I'm supposed to pull the entire thing down. Don't ask me how too, but I managed to jump over 3 meters, and get that thing.

I won myself a handphone! I even remember seeing 2 different plans, "Singtel Upgrade Plan" and "M1 Upgrade Plan". I then walked to the counter, and asked if I can redeem my phone now, hoping that I can get the M1 Upgrade Plan. But all he said was that I should keep it with me first in case there are better promotional plans in the future.

I then thought of my new phone which I just bought, and then decided to walk up the stairs and ask my colleagues if anyone wants the phone that I just got.

Just when I was about to open my office door ....

*RING RING*

Time to wake up.

Oh My God

Oh no. My PC got virus and now cannot even go into Windows. Damn.

Lost all data.

Have to reformat :(

Time for a new PC instead. Anybody can spare me a loan for a good PC? :)

P.S. And, Happy Birthday Singapore.

There was an accident in ECP today heading towards AYE, and I happened to be driving along that road after watching the fireworks from Marina South.

Cars were literally crawling, and I thought that it was a serious accident because of the massive jam it created.

I was totally wrong.

When I bypassed the accident scene (the cars were at the road shoulders already), the road suddenly became so open and fast-moving.

Which means that there wasn't any inconvenience created by the accident, but rather the traffic was slowed down because everyone is slowing down just to see the accident and the wrecked cars!

That's so stupid. What's so nice to see anyway?

Why are Singaporeans so kaypo seriously?

Makes me wonder now if all traffic jams are REALLY traffic jams or not.

Study: Mahjong can give you fits

Happened to read this short news article about mahjong, and after joking about us having fits all the time while watching anything related to mahjong, I think it's serious enough to put this up for all of us to read, especially Kevin Liu. Haha.

P.S. Damn, 2 posts consecutively targeted at him.

Source from The New Paper, 3 Aug 2007:

IF you are a mahjong addict, it's time to give up.

The game can spark epileptic fits in susceptible people, and the only cure is to give it up, according to new research released in a Hong Kong medical journal yesterday.

A study released in the Hong Kong Medical Journal detailed the cases of 23 men, three in Hong Kong and 20 in Taiwan, who suffered fits brought on by playing the game.

In some of the cases, drug treatment proved ineffective in stopping the seizures, which only ended after the players gave up the game.

"Mahjong is a cognitively demanding game involving substantial higher mental processing and outputs," the journal said.

It added that it could spark "decision-making epilepsy," which can also be triggered by playing chess and card games, as well as complex board games.

This is stupid. First, they encouraged us to play mahjong, work our brain more, and thus prevent Alzheimer's disease. Now, they want us to give the game up!

Nooooooooooo!!!

I feel that mahjong is the best game that is ever designed by mankind. If I ever meet the guy who invented it (or his reincarnation), I'll probably call him god.

Anyway, I think those 23 men who suffered fits lost badly, and got it while counting their chips at the end of the game. Or rather, looking at their empty drawer and counting how much more do they owe.

Warning

Warning people.

Do not play mahjong with Kevin Liu any time soon.

He's on a rollllllll.

Won $30 from paying 20cents - 40cents on Sunday, and yesterday at Billy's place won $120 from playing 30-60. I broke even! And the most amazing thing is, nobody knows how come I could survive until so long even when Kev is winning like nobody's business and break even.

But that aside, the most important thing now is ...

DON'T PLAY MAHJONG WITH KEVIN LIU NOW!

P.S. Wait for him to game "13 odds", and keep asking him to play everyday for 6-8 weeks. Hahaha. Not scientifically proven, but rather, statistically proven. Right, Kev?

M1 + Handphone

In case you guys didn't read my previous post, my handphone got stolen while I was having my pool training. So please SMS me again, telling me who you are so that I can save your contact into my handphone AND my computer.

I can't help but comment on M1's services that I encountered from Thursday, which was the day I lost my phone, up to Monday.

Sucks.

I called to deactivate my SIM card on Thursday night. Everything was fine. I asked Officer A if I could upgrade my plan. He said no. I double checked with my auntie, and decided to call again. This time, Officer B said I could upgrade my plan, and at the same time bewildered at why Officer A told me I couldn't.

I then arranged with Officer B to have my replacement SIM card delivered at my office in Mediacorp. Time was from 2pm to 6pm.

But I didn't get it.

At 1pm, I called M1 to ask them to contact me on Dear's handphone instead of my superior's extension number, because I was afraid that she would not be around to answer the phone. This time, I asked Officer C if the delivery man will be updated and get the new contact number. She said no problem.

At 1.30pm, I called M1 to ask if there was any stock of the handphone that I wanted to buy at Bugis Junction. He said I should order online, and that it would be cheaper for me. I call him Officer D. He's the best among all.

He checked my IC number, and found out that I actually have a whooping $262.50 of unpaid bill dated June 2004. This is weird. I remembered paying it, but M1 didn't get it. Because of this, I couldn't open a new line with my own IC. And I couldn't get the phone because my SIM card is not collected yet, and thus couldn't activate my current line.

I then checked with customer service, and Officer E said that they didn't receive the payment, and that they couldn't check what number that line was because it was 3 years ago and they don't have any records of it. So I questioned her angrily whether do I have to pay $262.50 again when I have already made payment for it 3 years ago. She only answered, "Ya, you have to." I hang up the phone.

At 5pm, my SIM card didn't come. I called the reception at Mediacorp. Apparently, the delivery man already came, tried calling my superior's extension, and true enough she wasn't at her desk when they called. And so, the delivery man left, WITH my SIM card.

I called customer service again, citing that Officer C promised that the delivery man will be updated of the new contact number, and this officer, Officer F, told me that maybe when I called the delivery man had already reached Mediacorp. I gave up on arguing. At this point of time, my auntie got to know of all these, and arranged to self-collect the SIM card at Bugis Junction, and at the same time I can buy the phone there.

Confusing? So was I. Conflicting instructions, empty promises. That was what I got. Only Officer D was great in assisting. The others were like shit.

Is this the way customer service should work? They ain't doing any service to me. They're only giving me more and more problems, and they didn't even come up with solutions or suggestions, especially Officer E.

Whatever it is, at least I finally got my phone and my number back.

HTC touch. My new phone.

And just 2 days ago, because my auntie saw this phone at the M1 shop at Bugis Junction, she decided to buy it for no reason. LOL. She even commented that the phone was huge and bulky at Bugis, and suddenly she told me she bought it. OMG.

No wonder Dear says we change handphones like changing clothes.
