I know it's bad of me, but I've decided to skip the interview for today.
Today's interview is supposed to be at an ulu factory at International Road, where the job is to do data entry and packing for 2 weeks @ $6/hr.
I decided to skip it, only because I got shortlisted by Mediacorp to be their temp programme sales assistant.
Programme Sales Assistant (Temp)
Salary: Hourly rated
Job Description: • Assist in the production of a web programme • Assist in the daily operations of the team • Support general administrative duties
Preferably with the following skills/personalities: • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and the Internet • Basic knowledge of programming would be a plus • Bilingual in both English and Mandarin • Meticulous, disciplined, organised with good attitude
Other information: • 5 days work week, 9am to 6pm • Able to commit for minimum of 3 months • Males waiting to be enlisted into army are welcome
Interested candidates who can start work immediately, please email your resume to: gracelau@mediacorp.com.sg. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
For now, I can only hope that I get this job, else I'd have to start looking for a job all over again. But I won't regret not taking up that packing and data entry job.
So am I a bad boy for not going for the interview, and calling to tell them that I reject it?
Ever since blogger had some problems with their dashboard, I didn't bother updating. Now it's time for me to blog again!
1. Exams are over! 2. Going to go for an interview for a 2 week job tomorrow (Wish me luck) 3. Playing Granado Espada. 4. Burnt my finger yesterday while cooking maggie mee. 5. Steamboat next week! 6. Mahjong anyone? 7. Soccer anyone? 8. Will update Genting Day 2 real soon.
This sickness is something that everyone experiences. The Pre-Exam Syndrome. For me though, it ain't that serious. Some people are so seriously ill, that they break into cold sweat when they hear the word "exam", or break down and cry when they find out that their peers are doing much better than them in their revision.
For me, I can't be bothered. Haha.
Relax. That's all I can say to those who are in the above categories that I just mentioned. Don't stress yourself, otherwise nothing will go into your head. Be like me. I don't memorise things, I understand things. This way, you can gain enlightenment and also the distinctions.
Finally got the photos from Kalyn, who have the photos of the games we had in the hotel room.
The following are photos of the forfeit that I thought of. Well, actually it's a forfeit my secondary school classmates taught me. It's where we need 3 forfeiters to perform it.
1) Think of 3 things to perform or act. In our case, I used superman, batman and ultraman.
2) Imagine it is a jackpot machine. Those who won the game are to say "ka ching", and the 3 forfeiters will then have to close their eyes, turn 1 round and perform 1 of the 3 moves. They are not allowed to communicate.
3) If the 3 of them do the same action, then the forfeit ends. Otherwise, "ka ching" again, and do the forfeit again.
This is Jackson and Soon Poh whacking Yang for constantly doing the different actions from the both of them.
Still failing to complete the forfeit.
New group of forfeiters. Kalyn, Dear and Hong.
Dear looks like she's going to vomit from all the spinning.
Kalyn's ultraman, from a plus, became a cross.
Notice Hong's position. He spinned so much he moved at least 5 steps away from his original position.
Guys, try this forfeit in the future. It's quite fun to see your friends spin and do stupid actions.
And in case you guys noticed, yes, it's 2 plus a.m. and we're doing this stupid thing. OMG, or in Joyce's version, OMT.
In case you guys didn't know, I was on a trip to Genting Highlands with my dear and her friends. This is actually the first time I'm going up to Genting! So excited!
First up, the bus trip. Nothing much happened, except that my ass hurt from that 7 hour bus ride. Was fun to see that the route going up to Genting looks like a route coming out of the movie "Initial D", and I started to imagine myself drifting around those corners and emerging as champion!
P.S. Photos courtesy of Dear and Lishan. Haven't got the photos from others yet.
My dear just couldn't succeed in self-taking a photo for both of us.
But she can take it for herself!
Again!
Dear's classmates, Lishan and Kalyn.

Finally, at 1400hrs, we've reached our destination! Checked in to our hotel rooms, and then set off for lunch and aimless walking around the Hotel First World mall.
Dear, Kalyn, Lishan.
Them again.
Finally, a full group photo of the girls. From left: Josephine, Joyce, Kalyn, Lishan and Dear.
The view at night. Super foggy. Must be due to the clouds.
Foooooooooooooog. This ain't the worst though. I love such weathers haha.

At this point of time, a point was noticed, and that was that we didn't have a decent looking photo. Therefore, we decided to have a really formal one. It turned out like this:
Male formal group photo. The only one.
Female group photo number 1. Josephine and Joyce left the group earlier, as they said they were tired and wanted to rest. In the end, they went shopping and came back to the hotel room later than us!

After the end of this photo taking session, I guess the people who saw us there are wondering what the hell inspired us to take such photos. I guess it's just our nature.
The night didn't end there. We had hell lotsa ice-breaking and IQ games in the hotel room.
Jackson: kept on getting bullied and couldn't get the answer for the IQ games except one.
Soon Poh: kept on thinking of so many games, and couldn't keep quiet.
Yang: could only say "I'm human being" for the police and murderer game when he gets killed innocently.
Hong: kept on getting killed too, and got confused in other games.
Joyce: was busy laughing and crying.
Josephine: was busy eating and ended up having no voice.
Lishan: was busy trying to calm things down in the game, but failed to do so, and ended up laughing hysterically together with everyone.
Me: was busy teaching them the 007 game, and also the creator of the forfeit.
Dear: was busy accusing me of being the murderer, when I've never been one before in the entire game!
That's the end of day one. Thank you for reading up till here. Day 2 promises to be much more fun, as we'll be heading for the theme park at 0800hrs! Stay tuned!
