Chalet

I know this is sooo long overdue, but better late than never.

Went for my class' chalet on 23rd, and boy it was fun!

First we had a bowling outing, and my scores were terrible. Haha. But I guess everyone there had fun, and because of this, now Sathiya always asks to go bowling the next day. But he never meant it anyway.

We then celebrated the birthdays of 3 October babies. It was obvious that the target was Alvin, who had 5 or 6 cameras filming him unwrapping his present. It was basically a "hamper" wrapped with rolls of tape. After 40 minutes, he finally got to the end of it, which was an empty tissue box! But he eventually got his present, one which was wrapped nicely :)

Finally for the first time in 2 years I managed to play a soccer game with my classmates. Well, even though it was a very friendly and short one, it was still fun. It just feels different from all the other serious football games that I've played in. But sadly, my brudder Anan tore his ligament. Again.

After that had our BBQ, almost everyone had a small little cup of vodka + cherryade/sprite, and we had a toast.

Played the numbers game, and it was fun. Even though it was just a normal ice-breaking game, which we have played before, it was fun to play because it involves the entire group of us rather than a few individuals like daidee (which we all ended up playing again)

Weird that our class took so long before we warmed up to one another, but like I said earlier: better late than never.

So guys, when are we going to have our next chalet/outing?

P.S. no photos, as there's simply too many!

Lazy

This is what will happen when technology advances too quickly and there's remote control for everything ...

Who will ever use a remote control for their MacBook when they are 30 centimetres away from the keyboard!?!?!?

Cin, how lazy can you get!?!?!

Feel Weird

It feels so weird to have light and fan in my room.

For the past one month where I didn't have any light in my room except for the fluorescent table light, it was easy for me to identify whether is it day time or night time.

But now with light in my room, I can't do it anymore! Now's 7.25pm and I thought it was 4pm!

And yes you might say I'm stupid because I can simply look out of the window or look at the clock in the computer. But it's because I'm gaming and thus I don't know the time, and require the natural lighting to tell me what time is it.

And my room suddenly became so cooling, after not having a working fan for the past 3 months!

But it's ok. I love my new ceiling fan and light though. Cost $150 + $40. Would have been great if it was cheaper though. Hehe.

OMG

I actually packed my wardrobe!

After discarding my old undergarments, T-shirts and jeans, I find that I pathetically only own 2 pairs of wear-able jeans, and only 2 shirts.

I need to go buy cheap jeans and shirts! I've got too many T-shirts!

And yes! I've got light and fan in my room! Finally! And for $60, I paid for a guy whose service is fantastic. The delivery woman on the other hand, was pathetic.

Firstly the serviceman came even before the delivery man arrived. And since he was here early, he decided to check out my kitchen light, and found that a spare part was damaged. He then offered to go out and buy the new spare part for the light, and then repair it for us.

Next, the delivery woman came, and found that she left the 3 bulbs in her shop, which was a 10 minutes walk away from my house. Even though it was her fault, she didn't offer to take it for us, but instead asked us to follow her to her shop to take it personally. Feeling pissed, my auntie gave in and walked there eventually.

The serviceman then came back with the new kitchen light spare part, and helped us fix it. My auntie happened to come home at around the same time, and informed him not to fix the cover back because the cover is dirty. Instead, the serviceman decided to wash it for us. Even though it was not a tough chore, but the fact that he offered to do it for us impressed me.

After that, he fixed the fan and light in my room. When I offered to help him carry some of the stuff to be discarded, he said that I shouldn't because that is his job and that I'm the customer. Impressed again.

Lastly, just when I thought he was done, he then told me that he will go out to buy a new tube for the kitchen light which he just repaired, because it was flickering. Impressed the third time.

Conclusion: Even though he has only one tooth remaining, and really, he looked dirty, this teaches me that we should never judge a book by its cover. I am thoroughly satisfied with his service attitude, even though he charged at a really low price.

Sigh, why can't the big companies have service quality like him? Why can't people in the service line all learn from him?

Priceless

Screen protector: SG$3.90

Blue furry handphone pouch: SG$4.90

Clear blue casing: SG$9.90

Apple iPhone from eBay: SG$900.00

The grin on my Dear when she saw it: Priceless

Here's the iPhone that she now owns!!!

On a side note, if there's any iPhone users out there who wishes to own a personalized carrier logo, do feel free to message me. A text-based one will cost $2 while a graphic-based one will be $4. This is because the iPhone caters only 7 characters for the carrier logo, and for us in SG, the text becomes really long. It will say something like "SGP-M1-3GSM" or something, which will end up showing only "SGP-M1...", which is super super ugly. Isn't it?

If you're interested, you'll have to meet up with me somewhere in the West and i'll configure your iPhone's carrier logo within 1 minute. Here's what I did to mine. Or rather, Dear's.

Happy Birthday Thuzar, Damien And Sathiya

Happy birthday to these guys!

Had a mini celebration with my classmates at this authentic Myanmar restaurant called Inle, and this was the first time I tasted Myanmar food. It was fantastic!

Will upload pictures of the food later hehe.

Made Thuzar and Sathiya open their presents on the spot, and we had fun watched Sathiya unwarp layers after layers of newspaper, kindly prepared by Sutha. But it was nice to see that we've chosen the right present for the both of them, as shown by their expressions when they see it.

After that, went bowling at Marina Square.

Thuzar's a naturally talented bowler! It was the first time she played bowling, and she managed to win Edward and Bunny! Haha, but it was a bad day for me, where I couldn't even achieve 150 points :(

Lastly, met up with Roy from SMU to help him out with his project. Earned SGD$100 from helping him, and I can only pray that from now onwards he will recommend me to his classmates and also to find me for more outsourcing projects. Haha.
