Poem

I never thought that I would ever use this poem on myself, because of my relationship. But now, I guess this poem is what describes me the best currently.

In English:
There was once true love in front of me,
but I did not cherish it.
Only after I lose it, then I start to regret.
There's nothing in the world that hurts more than this.
If God can give me one more chance,
I will tell Dear 3 words.
I love you.
If I must give a deadline for this relationship,
I hope it's eternity.

It hurts.

Me

A lousy boyfriend.

For the past 3 years, I've never really given happiness to my Dear. I didn't know how to show her that I appreciate all the work that she's done, I didn't know how to give her surprises, say or do sweet things to make her feel special.

Instead I gave her the idea that I'm taking her for granted.

Which of course I didn't.

I guess I'm just really lousy in coming with ideas to make her happy, or even a simple surprise like buying her a small little keychain that she loves in Comics Connection, or a little figurine that she sees in Toys R Us.

I know that these 3 years, life has been really boring for us, and that we've been doing the same thing all the time, and not trying other things. Like going to Escape and take rides together, like going to the beach for a simple picnic, like going to the pool and have a swim together, like going to Sentosa to suntan together. But it just didn't happen. I've always wanted to do all these together with my Dear, but it didn't happen. I wonder if it is because she isn't really a sporty kind of person, or because I'm just too lazy to prepare and bring her there.

So what if I have all these ideas in my head, when I don't even execute them?

I only have myself to blame that our relationship has now come to such a stage, where both of us are taking a break from the relationship. Whether or not will we be together again after this break (god knows how long) is another story.

Even though I don't want to lose her, I don't know what to do to bring her back into my life, and make her feel like she IS the crucial and special element in my life, and that it doesn't feel good without her in it.

Some of you might think that I should just get on with my life, and either find another new girl or stay as a bachelor for the rest of my life.

But all I want is my Dear to come back into my life. Simple request? Not easy, not when she's tired after 3 years.

Somebody please give me a slap, and make me learn this lesson forever.

All I need is a chance to prove myself.

Drivers In Singapore

Simple atrocious.

I think we're the worst drivers in the world.

2 cases I've experienced yesterday gave me that idea.

First one was early in the morning at about 8 at clementi. I was in Bus 52 when I saw this car, from the extreme right lane, which is a right turn only lane, cut into the middle lane. He was horned because he changed lane so suddenly, and risked being hit by a big lorry. Not only that, he didn't signal. To make things worse, he stopped at where he was, waiting to change into the extreme left lane, making the big lorr ydriver horn him again. And this time, he wasn't signalling again.

The next thing I know, he drove past the bus I was in, wound down his window, and pointed the middle finger at the lorry driver, who horned him twice.

I mean, dude, you're in the wrong. Firstly, signal. Secondly, even if you signalled, it doesn't mean that you can cut in front of a vehicle just like that. He will have to brake suddenly, and horn you definitely. Lastly, why stop in the middle of the lane while trying to change to the extreme left lane? The next left turn is 2 traffic lights away, and you could easily overtake the bus I was in, before changing to the left lane.

You even drove a luxury car, wore a suit, but too bad you're a bloody old man with no manners and driving etiquette.

The second incident was when I took Bus 852 home from my workplace. I think the bus driver thought that he was driving in a Formula One race. He braked so abruptly each time to either stop at the traffic light or at a bus stop, and then he accelerated so quickly too. The worst thing is that the bus is full of people, and everybody was struggling to stand properly, even if they were holding the seat handles.

And the bus tyres even screeched when he made a turn. It's either he drove really quickly, or that he drove so recklessly until the bus is spoiled.

And who said Singaporean drivers are good, polite drivers? Geez.

Sick

Been sick these past few days. Got sore throat, running nose, blocked nose, headache, high fever.

And because of this, I didn't manage to take the train and meet weird people :(

So for today, I'll just post some pictures from my handphone. Taken really long ago, and time for me to put them up. For the sake of clearing my memory card :D

Weird People ... Again

For the first time in 3 weeks, I've been so busy working that I don't have the time to update my blog in office!

Which is actually good in a way. This way, I won't have to feel guilty of doing nothing and getting paid.

Mediacorp library is god damn cold! But I like it. Haha. Imagine watching 12 boring tapes in this library, and nobody around you, dozing off. It's just amazing.

Today I see some weird people AGAIN! Apparently this lady is late for work, and when I was at the traffic light, I could see her exiting from her lift, and started to run all the way to the train station! But then again, she's wearing a skirt and heels, so she couldn't really run fast. The reason why I say this is because I actually caught up with her, in my own snail pace walking. When I saw her at the train station, she was panting and her hair was all wet. I wonder if it was sweat or was it because she took a bath before that. If it's the latter, then it's useless to bathe and run like this.

I guess it's fun to see all these people in the mornings. It brightens up your day, especially when you're on your way to the office and feel sick and tired of it. Haha. Soon I might be able to write a book on EVERY single weird people that I see, entitled "The Weirdest People You'll Ever See In A Train". I guess it's going tobe the biggest book ever, even more popular than that young teenage wizard named Harry Porter Potter.

Interesting

Read something interesting earlier today.

Apparently the equation "5 + 4 = ?" is not the same as "? + ? = 9"

For the 1st equation, you can only have 1 answer, but for the 2nd equation you can help unlimited combinations.

This also applies in real life.

Imagine that 5 and 4 are instructions given to you by the boss. If you follow them strictly, you'll get what the boss wants, but it'll be very mundane and boring because there is only one way to do it.

But for the second one, imagine that the boss tells you that there is something that needs to be achieved, but he doesn't tell you how it should be done. Instead, it is up to your own creativity and imagination to get to the final product.

Toyota uses the second equation. Reports say that if an employee follows exactly what the boss said, he'll be reprimanded for following it too strictly, and not adding his own creativity or imagination in the process.

Which equation would you like?

OMG, I dozed off at my desk for 30 minutes!

To..

To Andy Teow:

It is good that you've finally woken up and realise the seriousness of this entire saga, but you have to understand one thing. There are things that are irrevisible. Things like time, flowing water, and your mistake. Now that you have already committed this mistake, get on with life and make sure you do not do so again. You and Sheena cannot be together again, simple as that. Like what some people say, things will never be the same again.

To The Auntie In The MRT:

Auntie, did you study science? All I did was to sneeze, and I wasn't facing you at all. And what did you do? You looked at me, then from Bukit Gombak station to Clementi station, you've put your finger on your nose, looking like you're trying to hold your breath. Hello auntie, my sneeze don't stink. Nobody's sneeze stinks. And one more thing, if you're fated to come into contact with my Calvin-Sneeze virus, then you can't run from it, not even if you stick 10 fingers up your nostrils. So don't be stupid.

Why do I always face weird people in the train!?!?

To The GMs In Granado Espada:

Can you people be more responsible? You guys put up posts in the forum, saying that tentatively there should be a Colony War yesterday at 8pm. Because of that, I decided not to have dinner with my family, and stayed on to wait for the war. But what happens? There is no war! Not only that, you guys do not even come out to clarify that there isn't any war!

If you people put up the tentative schedule, then make sure that if there is any changes to it, make it known to everyone. Not only my faction waited for the war to start, but also other factions. I believe we're not the only one who got fooled. Until now have you guys said anything?

Come on you GMs. Be more responsible. Grow up.

Boarding A Packed MRT

Guys, when you board a packed MRT during the rush hour, do one thing. Raise your hands up high. I think I remember reading that Japanese guys do that in the train, as they have too many sex maniacs who go around groping other women. By raising their hands up high, it serves as an evidence that he is innocent, and that its impossible for him to be the one who jus groped some lady's ass.

The reason why I'm saying this, is because I was being maligned today morning.

It was 0745hrs, and I was boarding the train from Yew Tee to Clementi. As usual, I'm reading the Today papers, and listening to my iPod. Those who board the same direction will know that when reaching Jurong, the train will jerk quite alot as it is changing to the middle track. It was during this time when the lady infront of me bumped into me, or more exactly my hands (which were at her .. chest level, because I'm reading the papers!). She then gave me the "you pervert, you just touched my boobs!" look.

I was thinking, come on man I'm innocent. I gave the most innocent look I can ever give (ala the cat in the boots in Shrek), like this:

and I think she got the message I was trying to get across. I was trying to say, "please, this is the rush hour, we're all packed like sardines in a tin, and I didn't do that on purpose. And moreover, you bumped into me, not vice versa."

I guess she was thinking, "ok, this guy is cute. I won't pursue further

Whew.

Feelings

I hate Singapore because ....

1) Weather. We're so "geographically located" that we do not have 4 seasons. Probably we have, and its Quite-A-Lot-Of-Rain (Jan to Mar), No-Rain (Apr to June), Little-Bit-Of-Rain (July to Sept), and A-Lot-Of-Rain (Oct to Dec). It makes me have pimples too!

2) Kiasu-ism. The natural instinct of every Singaporean, and it makes me feel like, "Oh my god, I'm 23 years old. A perfectly fine young man, and yet the kiasu-ism makes me feel like an auntie!"

3) Drivers. The drivers in Singapore are terrible. They change lanes like nobody's business, they overtake like they're in a Formula One race, and they don't give way.

4) Traffic. We probably have one of the best infrastructures of traffic lights in the world, so good that we have a traffic light in every 250m.

5) MRT. I hate the commuters in the MRT who play music from their handphones (I'm not going to say who or what race), commuters who occupy more than 1 seat, commuters who lean on the hand grip, and those who do not understand the meaning of "Left Is Right".

6) COE. The god damn thing that makes our car so damn expensive.

7) Education. I admit we have one of the best education systems in the world, but that is because we're forced to follow it. It's so rigid it feels like army.

8) Money. People in Australia earns A$10+ per hour working in McDonalds, while we get only like SGD$4 per hour for working in the same place? We can't say it's due to the relativity to our cost of living, because Australia and us are almost the same.

9) Land. Soon, Singapore will be the first country in the world to not have any fields, and everywhere is high rise building.

10) Army. Nuff said.

I love Singapore because ....

1) My gf is here.

With that 1 point, it overrules the first 10. :D

Can somebody tell me how can a 6 year old girl sing like this?

New Surnames?

From Today:

"Current Chinese law states that children are only allowed to take the surname from either parent, but the lack of variety means there are now 93 million people in China with the family name Wang.

A nationwide survey conducted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in APril found that 92 million people shared the surname Li, while 88 million were called Zhang. A further seven surnames - including, Chen, Zou and Lin - are held by at least 20 million Chinese.

Under a new draft regulation released by the Ministry of Public Security, parents will be able to combine their surnames for their children, a move that could open up 1.28 million new possibilities, the China Daily said. For instance, a father named Zhou and mother named Zhu could choose to call their child either Zhou, Zhu, Zhouzhu or Zhuzhou, the report added."

How stupid can that be? Imagine I'm Choy, and my Dear is Lim. My kid will be called Choylim, or Limchoy. My kid then goes to marry a lady whose surname is Zhoulin, and thus my grandchild's surname will be either Choylimzhoulin or Zhoulinchoylim? It just wouldn't end!!!!

"Hi, my name is Calvin Baochoydufanguanhelinmoouqirenshentengwangxieyangzhou."

The Life Of Andy

As I am typing this, I am dozing off in my office lolx.

At this moment, Dear, Sheena, Kev, and other people are at Andy's house, negotiating and stuff like that.

Here's the whole story:

Sheena and Andy are a couple for almost 7 years (or maybe more than that). Recently, Andy knew a woman called Linda, who is her customer at the shop which he works in. Linda is a woman with a husband, a boyfriend, and 2 kids. I do not know how the heck the 2 of them managed to contact each other and shit, but they ended up having sex. For how many times, I don't know. At this point, Andy and Sheena's relationship was already rocky, and Andy wanted to "take time off" the relationship. Sheena was actually worried for him, wondering what has happened to him. But she would never have expected this to happen.

Imagine this. Andy brought Linda to Pan Pacific just to have sex! Not only that, in the middle of the night, just because of something LInda said, Andy took a cab and brought her to Mustafa, bought her a bouquet of flowers, and a SGD$700 ring. After that, they went back to have sex.
Sheena, who was trying to think of ways to get Andy back, has finally given up, and decided that this guy ain't worth crying over. Time for her to get even! But too bad, her plans eventually didn't work out.

Come on man, which boyfriend would tell his girlfriend, "Hey, I had sex with this girl, and she's much better than you on bed because she's more experienced!"

And better still, he actually thinks that both women are actually heads and heels over him, and are totally smitten with him. He can tell my Dear that he's gonna get a ring for the girl that he'll eventually choose. What he doesn't know is that Sheena doesn't want him anymore, and Linda's probably gonna dump him once he has no more money. How stupid can someone be?

Lastly, 2 nights ago, to make Sheena leave him completely, Linda sms-ed Sheena, saying that she is already pregnant with Andy's kid. I was asking Dear whether was it possible for someone to be pregnant within 1 month of the sex, and Dear said yes. Even so, I didn't trust that statement, and insisted that it was just a fake statement to make Sheena leave Andy willingly. They think that Sheena is still clinging on to Andy. LOL.

And I was proven right yesterday night. Andy told Sheena that Linda is not pregnant with his kid at all, and he even asked what will happen if he leaves Linda completely and go back to Sheena? The damage has already been done, Andy Teow. When such things happen, you can't start over again, not even if your relationship is 7 years old.

Sheena, do not be soft at heart, and try to forgive him. Get another guy. He can do this once, why can't he do it again? He'll probably think that you'll eventually forgive again, because he thinks that you love him enough to forgive him for things like this. You've alreadi slimmed down, and are looking much better than before. Keep this up, you'll get back to what you were in JC, and then there'll be guys queuing up for you. Not me though :p

Andy, go get a prostitute. You don't need SGD$700 for that. You'll probably get 10 for that amount of money, and they're all horny. At least they act like they are. Don't blame us for being ruthless to you. You brought this upon yourself. No matter how close friends we are and all, this kind of thing is unacceptable. But try talking to me 50 years later. I might be senile by then and forget about this. But then again, I might probably forget who you are :)

And being the compulsive gambler he is, Andy owes many people many, including Sheena and Dear. Now, they're at Andy's house, making him sign an IOU that they drafted out. Now, my turn to be at fault.

I owe Andy $275, and I didn't tell Dear, for fear that she would be angry. I thought Andy would have had some integrity, and kept it from her. Forget it, he's an ultimate jerk.

Now, I only hope that:

1) Andy pays back everybody their money. Whatever he does with his own life after that, is none of my business.

2) Dear forgives me for keeping this matter from her. I owe GH money, GH lost money through me to Andy, i.e. I owe Andy.

3) Sheena gets a new lease of life. Get a job, earn her own money, and support herself.

4) I have a time machine, so that I can get to the end of the month and get my pay, so that I can pay my Dear all the money that I owe her, which amounts to a lot of money.

3 more hours before I can go home!

Updates !

Been busy lately.

Time to update for what has gone on in my life for the past one week, if anybody is interested at all. Lol.

Sunday
Met up with Vinson, Eugene and gang for street soccer, and end up breaking my $150 spectacles. Luckily I have another one at home, and it works perfectly fine too. Went out with them again at night for dinner with Kennedy, who's going for a holiday before going back to his hometown, Indonesia.

Bon Voyage, Ken. Come back and find us when you can :)

Monday
Started work! In case you guys don't know, I'm now working at Mediacorp (Channel NewsAsia) as a programme sales assistant. Basically, I transfer tapes to DVDs, duplicate DVDs, send them out using DHL, and maintain their database (Excel files), which is in a mess. My first day was good. Reached workplace on time, and things didn't seem tough for me to absorb.
Not only that, the people here are quite OK to work with. No obnoxious people, no gossips, no scoldings, no complaints, no stress, and nobody cares where I am. Hahahaha.

Tuesday
Work. Met Dear at Hougang after work, and then found out that both of us are not hungry at all, so decided to send her home, while helping her carry her laptop.

Wednesday
Work. Went to J8 after work to buy a cooler for my laptop, as I leave it on to afk (away from keyboard) train in Granado Espada. Sadly, it gets overheated (it usually doesn't) and thus I decided to get this cooler, which looks quite nice actually. Blue LED lights, 3 fans. $29.90. Lolx.

Thursday
Work. Met up with the Granado Espada faction (Flawless faction) people at Jurong Point, and they turn out to be quite cool and fun people to be together with. Charlotte (A guy's in-game name) then talked alot about characters, skills and weapons, and caused alot of people to be really demoralised, and wanted to retrain their characters. LOL.

Today
Work.

Basically I'm now waiting for 6pm to reach, and then can go and meet my Dear.

Mahjong and KTV tomorrow!
